Vampire Ed threatens to eat Edd’s brains.
I relate to Edd’s chore-flooded summer, but I do NOT wish that life on anyone. Hey look, it’s everyone’s favorite frame to edit!Įdd’s parents still aren’t calling him by his preferred Eddward spelling and Mom seems confused about how many words “today” is.Įdd criticizes children who don’t have daily chores from their parents. Hello, tiny Ed, that’s not how curtains work.Įdd also explains that his mom asked him to. Edd takes a moment to notice him, yelps, and then tiredly requests “please don’t do that.”Įddy didn’t know Edd was into “such girl stuff.” Oyyyy I love how the eggs pop out separately, makes for fun animation and sound design.Įddy scans the kitchen and finds Edd sewing.Įddy teleports behind the curtain. Eddy starts to get frustrated– this is what Edd told them two hours ago. The camera zooms out from Edd’s suspicious stare to remind us of the egg he’s narrowly missing.Įdd lectures them and tells them he’s almost ready to go out. (we don’t find out)Įddy plays innocent while Ed replaces his eyes with eggs and says “BINGO!” Looks like he’s been baking! Wonder what he made. I’m not sure, though, it just sounds familiar.Įdd hears the egg smash on his wall and comes out to ask what’s going on.
I think the music for this opening sequence is used in MisEdventures. His parents really like mountains and modern art, though.ĭamn Leah, nothing’s even happened yet and you must’ve used like 20 storyboard pages already! I assume his family doesn’t get a lot of visitors. There’s a lot of reading material, like this is a waiting room. The chairs are isolated and small, there’s no television, there isn’t even usually a coffee table. The egg bounces off the little ottoman and then off of the indoor trees. Reminds me of Rolf’s elephant locket in the previous episode! I like Edd’s parents’ elephant statue back there. This sequence looks really weird because these expressions go by so fast, but damn are they good when you stop and look over them! Leah’s got a lot of great ideas for Eddy’s mouth. I don’t think Edd usually has this glass coffee table but it’s cool looking anyway! Leah opens this episode with a lesson in humor through storyboarding/motion/animation.Įddy is apparently a billiards expert and assures Ed that he will get the 5 ball in the (nonexistent) corner pocket. So far, she’s known to have boarded ‘High Heeled Eds’, ‘Hot Buttered Ed’ (her first solo episode), ‘Stop, Look and Ed’, ‘Urban Ed’, ‘Hands Across Ed’, ‘Knock Knock Who’s Ed’, ‘Flea Bitten Ed’, ‘Read All About Ed’, and ‘The Ed-Touchables’. This title card reminds me of ‘Rock-a-Bye Ed’, another season 3 episode that deepens the show’s lore.īack to the episode at hand: Continuing this season’s focus on storyboarder showcases, this episode is only credited to Leah Waldron. More than any other season, we will see tons of plots centered around previously minor elements– so far we’ve seen an episode about Rolf’s country, now one about Edd’s sticky notes, and later on this season will give us the only stories that take advantage of Eddy’s brother as an off-screen character before the movie. This episode doesn’t have the emotional depth of the other season 3 premiere, ‘Wish You Were Ed’, and its cruel premise may impair the comedy for some, but it’s still a perfect example of this season’s interest in building stories off of the show’s world rather than scams. The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends/ Mr.Today’s title refers to the phrase “Momma’s Little Boy/Girl/Baby/etc.” It’s about Ed and Eddy forging sticky notes from Edd’s parents as a prank.
